Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area
Arabia Mountain Top Trail
1.3 miles
Located just outside Atlanta’s perimeter, this hike to Arabia Mountain’s cratered, domed summit will leave you doubting that you’re in Georgia, let alone minutes from the city. The moderately-challenging (but relatively short) Arabia Mountain Top Trail hikes to the mountain’s summit across vast fields of rock and past shallow basins of rare plants. Hike after a rainshower to catch the wide-open sky reflecting in the mountain’s water-filled craters, an entirely photo-worthy view.

Raven Cliffs Wilderness
Raven Cliff Falls Trail
4.9 miles
At the Raven Cliff Trail’s end, a tumbling waterfall splits an enormous, sheer-faced cliff in two, creating one of Georgia’s most unique and visit-worthy waterfalls. But while the Raven Cliff Falls waterfall makes the trail a must-hike, the entire Raven Cliff Trail is beautiful: a trout stream tumbles and cascades along the trail, cascading down in beautiful waterfall after waterfall under the canopy of a shady, lush forest.
